Marko has been awarded a top prize for one of his photographs, winning an Award of Excellence in the Fashion category at the recent British Professional Photography Awards.

Over 300 professional photographers and trade representatives attended a glittering Awards ceremony held on 29th October 2006 at THe Hilton Hotel, Coventry. The Awards are a joint initiative between the Master
Photographer’s Association and the British Institue of Professional Photographers. Membership is restricted to full time photographers who must qualify to the minimum Licentiateship standard. Both organisations exist to promote and maintain standards of excellence and professionalism within the photographic industry.

Chairman of the judging panel, Kevin Wilson was delighted with the standard of this year’s entries. “The standard of this year’s winners was truly remarkable. It is a great honour to win such a prestigious prize. I hope Marko uses his Award to further his career.”

Marko was delighted with this, his 12th award in just two years. “ It is fantastic to have my work viewed with such high regard. I must also praise the people who participated in the creation of the award winning photograph. Doug Hobbs,the hair-stylist,Nicola Donovan for the accessories and styling, Paddy McGurgan for the makeup and Kate the model all contributed tremendously to this image and show what a great team can acheive. Marko’s striking photograph has gained iconic status within the fashionable communities of Bristol and beyond, it has already been featured in several publications and was used as the leading image to promote the “The Hobbs Show 2006”, Europe’s largest indepedent Fashion show.

Marko’s work also featured in Master Photographer Digital where a four page article and the front cover were dedicated to Marko’s work. Master Photographer Digital is the international magazine for members of the Master Photographer’s Association. It goes out exclusively to qualified professional photographers so anybody who appears in the magazine will be judged according to the higest possible standards.
